Kick Off Your Socks

Yes, even when in the car, when it's minus freezing outside. Proof that he is a Summer baby.

Guess Who Came to Dinner?

My brother had yet another computer issue and needed M to fix. So he came over, much to the delight of the boys.

Reunited

Daddy and Liam returned home tonight after a short visit to see grandma and grandpa in Elliot Lake. The boys were happy to see each other after a few days apart. Liam concluded that grandma lived far, far away and the long drive hurt his bum.

Who Needs Christmas?

One doesn't need Christmas as a reason to eat these. Hell, I didn't even bother with the icing. Good thing these are baby gingerbread men.

Out of Service

This was my laptop for a good part of the day yesterday. Mike decided to fix my non working backspace. We think a shard of glass was stuck under it from the exploding light bulb from the other night.

I'm happy it's fixed because I realized I am a crap typist who uses the backspace a lot.

Monkey Wallet

I love my monkey wallet. It always makes me smile when I see it, even after I've paid the bills on payday.

Proof of My Addiction

I was finally able to harvest my winter melon after four days and I am back to planting peas that grow in less than a day.

Ooops Missed a Day

I got a little distracted last night and forgot to post, although photos were taken. Okay, I spent endless hours redoing my farm on Farmville after upgrading my land size to 24 X 24. Yes I am addicted to Farmville.

Anyway, back to the task at hand. It's always fun to play with diaper boxes.

Pop Goes The Light

Some excitement over the dinner hour here at home. We were about to sit down and dig in to M's lastest culinary attempt, baked cheese pasta. I turned on the light above our table, when all of a sudden it popped, and shards of glass rained down. Luckily, my laptop bore the brunt of the glass shards, and no food or kids were actually at the table.

Beggar

She is such a hound, always begging for treats and food. She knows where we keep her treats. I swear she thinks she can talk...

Old Friends

This photo is actually from Friday night, my birthday dinner with the girls who have known me a good chunk of my life. This chiquita beside me shares my name. We met in Art Class, when she took the wrap for me talking in class from our evil art teacher.

Wine Interrupted

I have been home for less than two hours and already I have had to change four poopy diapers in the midst of my single glass of wine. Guess life is full of shit sometimes, eh? Sigh, I can't wait until the day both boys are toilet trained.

Fridge Clutter

Pre-kids, there was nary a magnet on my fridge. I hated fridge clutter. I am now in fridge clutter hell. Save me.

Happy Birthday to Me

In lieu of birthday cake and candles, I have crayons. And yes, the number of crayons in the box represents my age. I'm thankful I did have to take a few out of the box, I'm not that old, yet....

Potato Head Man

Apparently 38 year old men don't stop playing with their food.

Messy Marvin

Remember when you were young and you didn't care about how messy food could get. You were too interested in how good it tasted? The younger boy after eating something called Aachener Pflumli Pflaumenmus. I think it's basically plum jam and daddy gave it to him straight out of the jar and into a bowl. Gross, I don't like jam.

Bend It Like Beckham - Not

I wonder if David Beckham's parents were ever brought to tears the first time watching the watched their young son play soccer.

The older one played soccer for the first time ever, on a team setting. At first it didn't go well. He refused to put on his uniform and wanted to go home. Daddy had to wrestle the jersey on him and took him out on to the field. Slowly, L warmed up to the idea that kicking a soccer ball was fun. Soon daddy was able to slip back into the stands and watch, and laugh.

Let's just say, that L took great pleasure in running, and then falling or diving to the ground. All these great acrobatic feats took place nowhere near the ball. It was comical to watch.

The best is, he cried when he got home. He wanted to go back to play some more soccer and he wouldn't take his jersey off until bath time. Until next Saturday...

Ze Boy the Artiste

So the older one may have a future as an artist, or perhaps as a jail bird. He does a lot of art at daycare which is good because I'm not so good with mess.

Coffee is My Friend

It was an early start to my day. Both kids decided to wake up around the same time, 4 am. Not sure who sent out that memo, but I hope it's short lived.

This was a welcome sight for tired eyes. I'm sure I'll be drinking a few more extra cups today.

No Cameras Please

I guess at 5:45 in the morning, it's hard to love a camera in your face.

Old Hound Dog

Growing old sucks even for dogs. Pepper is about 8 now, and she used to have lovely brown eyebrows. She has gotten so gray in the 6 years we've had her, and it's really noticeable in her face.

Builders White

So we've been in this brand new house for almost 3 years this spring, and except for the living room, kitchen and family room, which we had professionally painted a year ago, the rest of the house is that lovely shade of builders white. We did get to choose the white since this was a new build and I'm pretty sure that we chose Oyster White, which is a muted white.

It's not as if I'm afraid of colour, I do plan to paint the walls. I guess I'm just lazy and other things always come up as priority before our white walls.

Even in my condo before I met my husband, my walls were muted white. I think M traded a car roof rack with some guy who owned a paint store and soon my condo was painted.

I am getting tired of white. Maybe it's time to start looking at paint chips and finally come up with a colour.

What do you think?

The Purple Balloon

He was happily playing with the purple balloon until he saw me taking photos. Like a moth to light, he had to come and try and reach for the camera.

Primary Hot Block Massage Anyone?

So this is how I found Bunny yesterday after S played with him. I'm thinking that my younger one might have a calling as massage therapist. But I think I'll let him keep practicing on Bunny a bit longer.

First Round Of Photos

So, I found some pics on my camera that I've taken in the last few days. I'm going to use them as Days 1, 2, and 3. Some may consider this cheating, but I do takes pics often, so they are valid as representation of the last few days around here.

My youngest, S is 18 months and has started showing signs of potty training, thanks to watching big brother L, and has no issues of wearing his gitch after bathtime. The older boy is 3 and will only go pee on the potty before bathtime and will not try on his new Cars underwear. Hence no photo of him.

Project 365 Take a Photo a Day

Okay maybe this photo project will also help me blog more regularly. Something very unusual for me, I am three days late with starting this. This is so unlike me, I am usually early for everything. Hell last year I was a day early for my gall bladder surgery. For some reason I had it in my head that my surgery was scheduled for March 4th even though all documents listed it as March 5. And yes, I fasted and everything, showed up at the hospital, only to discover that my surgery was the next day. And funny, surgery isn't the type of thing you can do a first come, first serve type of thing. LOL

Blog Part Two

So this is my second attempt at blogging. I had one before, it even had it's own domain name and life on it was peachy. I blogged while I was on maternity leave with my second son and had pulled my oldest out of daycare for the year. I figured I needed a venue to share about my time as a SAHM and to get me through the craziness of having two young boys, exactly 21 months apart.

But I started to blog less and less because I unexpected went back to work early. And then a few months later, the hosting site that I had my blog on went belly up, and I lost my blogs. And silly me, I never did keep any printed record of my thoughts.

So let's see how I fare with this blog.
